Stained Glass Iron Moon

By: Adrienne

Well,

I painted

and I painted

and I painted you a picture

well

and I hung it on your door

Why does the loneliness seem twice as cold?

Twice as old-

well-

you've struggled and you've struggled

across the blacken face of fate

while I ate my bread crumb existence

off a gold-brass china plate.

Then I stumbled and I stumbled across this

Stained glass Iron Moon,

so if existence gets too scary

I need only change my

spoon...

But-

I've lost all my dreams in a Pepsi can of gold

and all my aspirations have long since then been sold,

so,

you left me with only numbers-to fill my empty

head

Left me with only darkness,

to fill the empty Dead,

but,

I'm waiting and I'm waiting

and I'm painting you a picture,

yeay,

I'm painting and I'm painting, but you've heard it all

before
