Mary Magdaline
By: Adrienne
Well,
Sir,
Walter Raleigh John
use to be a friend of mine,
the only man I ever knew who drank
apricotta wine,
He'd dance with life,
I'd dance with pain,
but our waltz would be the same-
until the day
he came along to a headstone where to find:
Holy Mary Magdaline,
you came, you went ,you saw, you sinned
spinning on a carousel
of pleasure so divine,
You danced with Christ
You called his name
but could things now be rearranged?
to sing a song of Rainbow singing
in and out of rhyme.
If I knew you,
like him I knew,
and apricotta wine for two,
in a bar outside of France
(this could be a holy sign)
The Thane of Fife
(whose with a dame)
he had a wife
(who had a name)
until-
the day she danced away
to where the sun would always shine:
Holy Mary Magdaline,
she came ,she went, she saw, she sinned
She's spinning on a carousel
of pleasure so divine
She danced with Christ
She called his name
but could things now be rearranged?
to sing a song of Rainbow singing
in and out of in and out of in and out of rhyme?
