In the Spring of 2000, my field biology class embarked on a research trip to the wilds of Florida to study the manatee. O won't bore you with my endless report on my findings. NOTE: The manatee is a wild animal and should be treated as such and not played with like the neighbors kitten.  While they are very sweet and curious and may swim up to you, please remember that they ARE wild animals...and endangered ones at that!

PS: Underwater photos were taken on a Kodak disposable camera - I LOVE THOSE!
