Aquarium News
4/11/2001:
The aquarium may soon have a new
resident. The Marine Mammal Care department is in negotiations with
the National Aquarium in Baltimore to become the new home for a harbor
seal named Hilda. The National Aquarium is currently renovating its
seal exhibit and needs to find temporary homes for their animals while
these changes are made. Hilda would be joining Sandy, Lucy and Clarisse
(also from the National Aquarium) in the outdoor pool. She would
be on loan, just like Clarisse, most likely for at least 6 years.
