Floating through a crystal world
Ripples and waves distorting the view
Parading masked revelers
In all shapes and sizes
Dressed in their finest
Array of bright bold colors
Each different than the rest
Easy, effortless gliding through liquid glass
With the tiniest of movements they sail past
Enchanting our lazy eyes as they hang
Suspended on a magician's thread
They watch us as they weave and maneuver
Through rocks and castles
Small ornaments not worthy of their graceful pressence
Plastic decorations of unnatural colors
Appear garish and gaudy in contrast
To the simple dress nature has given them
The angels see us as we
Scuttle and fret through our world
And still they float carefree and calm
